This paper selects two representative racial groups in the United States: black and white. It analyzes their annual average unemployment rate and hourly wages between 1980 and 2022 to explore the inequality in the American labor market. The unemployment rate and hourly wages of both races have improved over time, and the educational level of workers may impact the changes in both.
Key words: Racial unemployment, Racial wage, Inequalities.
